Bridgecom Brings Unified Messaging to OfficeTool.com

Bridgecom announced an alliance Tuesday (Nov 7) with San Diego-based OfficeTool.com. The partnership will integrate Bridgecom’s unified messaging services with OfficeTool.com’s Internet-based collaboration, organization and productivity tools, creating what it calls an Information Access Portal.

This Information Access Portal (IAP) combines business productivity tools with an enhanced communications suite. The IAP is aimed at small to mid-sized businesses, home offices and affinity groups. Currently, more than 250,000 OfficeTool.com users plan to immediately convert to the IAP offering, when it is released this week at the Unified Messaging Conference in Miami.

Unified messaging combines and simplifies voice, fax and e-mail messages in a single mailbox. Users can access and manage these messages at any time using any available wired or mobile phone, PC or web-enabled device.

Following the demise of Red Gorilla last month, OfficeTool took over operations of its website, integrating Red Gorilla’s web based and wireless applications such as time tracking and expense reporting tools into their existing product line.
