Customers of @bigger.net, a one-time fee Internet provider that shut down in December, will have their Internet access restored by May.
Internet provider Brigadoon paid $275,000 to acquire the Internet provider late last year after @bigger.net closed its offices in October and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Brigadoon has also had its share of problems in the past. The company has experienced cash flow problems and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy last year. The company currently offers free Internet access and Web hosting from more than 600 points of presence serving about 80 percent of the United States.
Brigadoon said e-mail service will be restored to @bigger.net customers in mid-April and Web access will be offered beginning May 1. Current @bigger.net customers will not have to pay any set-up fees to have their accounts reactivated.
Recently, Brigadoon signed a three-year, multi-million contact with Level 3 which will provide Brigadoon’s customers with Internet access in the San Francisco and Seattle areas.
