Concentric Network Corp.
Wednesday rolled out Digital Subscriber Line service in
the greater Detroit metropolitan area.

Concentric has aligned with Covad Communications
Co.
in order to deliver broadband Internet access utilizing DSL
local loops throughout the greater Detroit area.

DSL services are quickly replacing usage-based ISDN lines as a cost-
effective alternative for businesses utilizing point-to-point network
connections.

“DSL is leveling the playing field for small-to medium-sized businesses by
ushering in a whole new set of networking solutions,” said Henry R.
Nothhaft, Concentric Networks’ chairman, president and chief executive officer.

Since Concentric’s DSL service debut in late 1997, the company currently
offers the always-on Internet access in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Los
Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Diego,
Seattle and Washington, D.C.
