Concordant, a North Chelmsford, Mass., information technology (IT) consultant and outsourcer, has won a 3-year,
$5.1 million contract from heath insurance giant Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA).

“Working with Concordant in the past, it has become clear that they have the talent and expertise to deliver demonstrable improvements to our (local area network)
and desktop operations,” said Ed Esposito, BCBSMA’s vice president of IT.

More specifically, Concordant will provide full-time infrastructure management and support. It will also evaluate current process and develop quality assurance
practices to be sure BCBSMA’s end users do not suffer delays.

“Concordant applies recognized industry frameworks to help companies use technology to meet their business goals,” said Kirk G. Quinn, Concordant’s
president and managing director.

Quinn is familiar with BCBSMA. Previously, he served as regional director of professional services for Inacom.Vanstar and counted the Boston-based company, as
well as other heavy hitters such as Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Fleet Bank, among his clients.

In addition to LAN and desktops, Concordant specializes in security (firewalls, virtual private networks), wireless access, messaging and collaboration. The firm is
privately held.
