Corporate expense management ISV and ASP Concur Technologies Inc. Monday announced that has signed more than 450 companies across a broad range of industries for Concur Expense, its Web-based travel and entertainment (T&E) expense management solution.

“In a challenging economy, companies must find ways to maximize their operational efficiencies,” said Steve Singh, chairman, president, and CEO for Concur. “With Corporate Expense Management solutions like Concur Expense, companies can drive down operational costs and improve business efficiencies, increasing their ability to better compete in the global economy.”

Concur Expense automates each step of the T&E expense management process — from expense report preparation and approval to policy compliance, reimbursement, and data analysis. The automation of this process results in increased traveler and back-office productivity and uncovers critical travel spending trends.

“The ASP model of Concur Expense is configured with proven best practices used by other companies around the world,” said Melissa Blythe Stuteville, travel director for Wood Group ESP Inc. “Concur’s experience with deploying more than 800 companies around the world made them a low-risk, high-reward proposition, and the perfect solution for our T&E expense management needs.”

Concur has the ASP infrastructure to support large organizations as well as middle- and small-market companies. With the ASP delivery model, Concur hosts and manages the application remotely, eliminating implementation, IT infrastructure, and maintenance costs. Concur’s solutions are delivered to employee desktops via a Web browser, and are accessed by employees from a secure Internet connection.

Concur has ASP customers in several industries, including communications, education, financial, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, restaurant, retail, technology, telecommunications, transportation, and software industries. Customers include Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Applied Innovation Inc., British Midland, Centex Financial Services, Cyberonics, Haldex Services, INTERLINQ Software Corp., Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc., Olympic Health Management, Premier, The Restaurant Company, Shurgard Storage Inc. and Wood Group ESP Inc.

Concur’s solutions include travel and entertainment expense management, employee requests for vendor payments, and time tracking and reporting, and can be delivered through license and ASP models. Today, over 800 companies have licensed over 2.2 million employees to use Concur’s solutions.
