De Walt To Drive Documentum As CEO

Documentum (Nasdaq: DCTM) Thursday says it is promoting its COO Dave De Walt to CEO. Former CEO Jeff Miller says he will stay on as chairman of the board.

In his new role as CEO, De Walt will have complete responsibility for the strategic leadership and operational management of Documentum.

“Dave has been a guiding force the past two years as Documentum has established itself in the e-business arena,” says Miller. “I’ve worked closely with Dave, and have observed his breadth and depth of industry knowledge and his insights into customer requirements. I look forward to continuing in my role on the board as Dave brings his very personal commitment and proven leadership abilities to the helm of Documentum.”

The Pleasanton, Calif.-based company known for its content management platform and application suite is also reporting its earnings for Q2 beat Wall Street estimates by hitting the $45.6 million mark.

The company’s 4i eBusiness Platform’s open architecture is XML and J2EE enabled for collaboration and the building of rich content applications.
