Embrace Adds Two To Its Exec. Team

Embrace Networks Wednesday says it has enhanced its executive team with two new additions.

The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company says it has named Klaus Hofmann as vice president of sales and Michel Burger as its new chief technology officer. Hofmann will be responsible for driving Embrace’s sales and revenue growth, and Burger will be responsible for defining the technology roadmap and vision for the company.

Most recently Hofmann was vice president of sales and marketing for TheSupply, Inc., a provider of B2B and supply chain management solutions and services to the semiconductor industry.

Burger comes to Embrace from Sapient, where he served as director of innovation and led a team specializing in user-to-user collaboration and massively distributed systems.

“I’m pleased to welcome both Klaus and Michel to our management team,” says Embrace president and CEO Maria Martinez. “Klaus has proven his ability to build world-class sales teams and will no doubt exceed his past successes while building winning teams at Embrace. Michel is a thought leader and a technology pioneer who will lead the charge to revolutionize our market. Klaus and Michel’s unique combination of experience, skills, energy, and enthusiasm will help us implement our strategies as we move to establish Embrace as the leading provider of server-based application development platforms for specialized Internet-enabled devices.”

Embrace is known for providing an Application Projection Platform. The company’s technology allows for the development and projection of powerful Internet server applications to even the simplest devices.

The company is currently working on a Connect and Project technology that is expected to accelerate the deployment of device-based Internet services.
