Enterprising netASPx Secures Seventh Acquisition

Application service provider netASPx
Tuesday concluded its deals with Balrae
Associates, Inc.
and United Systems Consultants marking the completion
of its seventh acquisition since May 1999.

Fueled by $100 million in investment from GTCR Golder Rauner LLC, netASPx has
built out its ASP infrastructure by acquiring smaller ASPs and Web hosting
firms.

netASPx has already annexed Sysix
Technologies LLC
, Binary Tree,
MinnSoft Corp., eGlobal
and Network Computing Services, Inc.
with the GTCR funding.

The acquisition of Balrae and USC adds more than 50 seasoned consultants to
the netASPx team. Balrae and USC consultants bring experienced sales and
implementation personnel of Lawson
Software
applications to netASPx’s portfolio.

They also solidify netASPx’s position in the health care, retail,
professional services and public sector ASP marketplace.

John Whiteside, netASPx chief executive officer, said the new e-commerce
economy poses significant change for businesses, especially in the way that
information technology is delivered.

“Helping customers leverage this new opportunity is much more than just
setting up a data center for hosting applications,” said Whiteside. “To
ensure success and reduce risk, we must also provide exceptional leadership
in planning, analysis, technology, and project management.”

“With the addition of these important skills from Balrae and USC, we are in
an even better position to help businesses transition to an integrated
business-to-business e-commerce enabled business computing platform,”
Whiteside added.

Balrae and USC consultants will join netASPx customer implementation services, working side-by-side with netASPx, Lotus Notes and Domino services practice.
Together the Lawson Software and Lotus Notes Domino services practice plan to
support customers with Web site implementations and applications management.

Former Balrae President Lou Balla was named vice president of customer
implementation, reporting to netASPx’s Whiteside. Balla’s group is tasked
with achieving a leadership market position in each of Lawson’s major
application suites–financials, human resources and supply chain services.

Former USC President Steve Rigisich will serve as director of service,
offering management at netASPx. Rigisich joins other team members in charge
of developing netASPx’s service offering strategy.

Headquartered in Herndon, Virginia netASPx is a full-service ASP targeting
business-to-business sales and logistics companies. The company delivers
its services on site or through a traditional ASP-model of hosted
integration applications.
