Board members at San Francisco-based Bullant Monday say they’ve named Jan Gullett as the company’s new CEO.

Gullett replaces the company’s original founder and CEO Gary Aitchison. Aitchison will move to the role of Executive Vice President of Products and continue to help develop Bullant’s technology.

As CEO, Mr. Gullett will be responsible for establishing Bullant as the dominant provider of software solutions that enable enterprise-class application deployment.

“Bullant’s technology will have profound effects on the enterprise, since it takes full advantage of 64-bit processors and 32-bit architectures,” says Gullett. “Bullant’s software enables and simplifies what would otherwise be a difficult and costly transition. It is wonderfully exciting to take the helm of a company that is making it painless to migrate to next-generation platforms.”

Before coming to Bullant Gullett served as president and CEO at Redwood Shores, Calif.-based PlanetWeb, a developer of Internet software for consumer electronic devices.
