GMN Adds Members

Oct 17, 2001

The Global MSP Network (GMN), an association dedicated to advancing the outsourced management service provider channel, Monday announced it is adding three new member companies.

DirectPointe, a Provo, Utah-based subscription computing service for small- and mid-sized businesses; NetCom and, an outsourced IT company in Padova, Italy; and PC Express, a leading management service provider in the United Kingdom will join the GMN to help gain a better understanding of the MSP business model and how to better serve this market.

“Through the GMN, we are gaining access to information and specialized tools that can help us achieve our sales and marketing goals,” says Dan Atkinson, executive vice president for DirectPointe.

DirectPointe supports its clients through evaluating, acquiring, deploying, testing, fulfilling and supporting technology. The company’s products and services include Compaq desktops, laptops and servers, productivity software, wireless computing, professional support with remote update and repair ability, on-site warranty service, secure remote data backup and high-speed Internet access.

Italy’s NetCom s.r.l. offers small to medium businesses, and government organizations enterprise services. Founded in October 1999, NetCom aims to provide cost-effective solutions for companies, helping them to increase productivity.

“Our membership in the GMN is helping us to enhance and increase our relationships with IT leaders such as Intel and others to enforce the quality and reliability of our solutions,” says NetCom’s President Fabio Mavaracchio.

United Kingdon-based PC Express, builds PCs and servers and provides support, repairs, Internet solutions, networking and training. President, Victor Panas, is hopeful about the possibilities of the company’s new membership: “We believe that our participation in the GMN will give us a great advantage toward providing our customers a level of service that is second to none,” he says.
