High-speed Internet cable services provider @Home Network today announced that its
membership has surpassed 100,000 customers.

The company said it has more than doubled its subscriber base since the end of 1997.

@Home provides Internet delivery through high-speed cable connections, and
claims members can dial into the Net up to 100 times faster than the
standard 28.8 dial-up telephone modem, and 15 times faster than an
ISDN line. The broadband technology used by @Home operates at speeds in
the range of 1,500 to 3,000 Kbps.

Redwood City, CA-based @Home began operations in 1995 and its investors include Comcast Corporation, Cox Communications, Rogers Cablesystems Limited, Shaw Communications, Inc. and Tele-Communications, Inc. (TCI), and
venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

Its partnerships with a broad range of cable operators provide distribution access to nearly 50% of all homes using cable in North America.

Media partners include Yahoo!, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, CNN, and N2K.
