In a move to target the small- and medium-size business market, Hewlett-Packard and Dimension Data today announced that they will jointly market and promote Dimension Data application hosting and managed services.
Under terms of the agreement, Dimension Data will join the HP Service Provider Program as an elite member. The program is designed to generate awareness and demand for joint HP and service provider solutions and features co-selling, co-marketing programs and joint solutions development as well as a infrastructure, applications and operations qualification program.
“HP is proud to work with leading service providers such as Dimension Data to bring cutting-edge services to market,” said Sebastiano Tevarotto, vice president, HP Network and Service Provider Business Unit.
Dimension Data says its goal is to provide a one-stop, scalable hosting and managed services environment. Using HP’s Always-on Internet Infrastructure family, including Unix and Windows servers, storage, HP OpenView and HP MC/Serviceguard, Dimension Data said it manages a customer’s entire network including configuration and monitoring of servers, operating systems, applications and databases.
“Our expertise and managed services offerings ensure that customers’ infrastructure and applications are highly scalable, secure and available,” said Greg Hoogerland, executive vice president of Managed Services for North America, Dimension Data.
“With HP’s technology, we are able to fully manage or assist our clients in monitoring and improving networks, applications and storage operations on an efficient, cost-effective infrastructure that optimizes business performance,” said Hoogerland.
