HP to Bundle NetObjects with Scanners

NetObjects today announced a deal with Hewlett-Packard Company to bundle its Web site-building software with certain HP digital imaging products.

Customers who purchase the HP Scanjet 5470c and 5490c color scanners through HP, HP resellers and channel partners worldwide can shoose from NetObjects’ small business Web site building solutions, NetObjects Fusion MX and NetObjects Matrix. The deal brings NetObjects solutions to both Mac and Windows users.

“HP and NetObjects share a strong commitment to providing quality, comprehensive, worry-free technology solutions that enable small business customers to focus on creating successful businesses,” said Jim Calhoun, vice president of product management and product marketing for NetObjects. “We’re pleased that HP has selected NetObjects Fusion and NetObjects Matrix to distribute with its popular color scanners.”

NetObjects Fusion MX allows Windows users to build an online presence and subscribe to Web Services that can help them grow and manage their business. Any customer with an Internet connection regardless of their operating system can select NetObjects Matrix, where they can build a professional quality Web site online in minutes, complete with e-commerce capabilities. Both applications integrate Web services tools into the design process.
