Internet services provider IBS Interactive Inc. Thursday
acquired Huntsville, Ala-based ISP Renaissance
Internet Services.
Financial terms of the pending purchase were not disclosed.
Founded in 1994, Renaissance Internet Services provides Internet access and
web design and development.
“Combining with IBS Interactive marks an important step forward in our
company’s growth and development,” said Mark Van Dyke, director of
Renaissance Internet Services.
“IBS’ turnkey approach will enable us to cross-sell our services with those
in the existing operation and take our business to a new level.”
The acquisition is the fourth for IBS in the past four months. On Dec. 14,
IBS acquired Halo Network Management, LLC, a network management company in
Eatontown, N.J., and on Dec. 3, the company acquired
MBS, Inc., a Huntsville, Ala. Certified Technical
Education Center (CTEC) Partner providing Microsoft solution training.
In addition, on Sept. 28, IBS acquired
DESIGNfx Interactive, a privately-held full-service Internet development
and online management company based in Cherry Hill, N.J.
“Expanding Internet services is a key growth component for IBS,” said Nick
Loglisci, president and chief operating officer of IBS Interactive.
“By acquiring Renaissance Internet Services we not only strengthen our
position as a leading Internet Service Provider but also augment the IBS
turnkey business model into the Southeast region.”
“This acquisition compliments our existing training and consulting
operations in the Southeast and enables IBS to now provide clients with
Internet services such as dial-up and dedicated access, Web-site hosting
and Web-site development,” Loglisci said.
