Loudcloud Inc.,, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based managed service provider, today announced its new Continuous Service Migration Program for customers looking to migrate their Web operations from their current managed services provider to Loudcloud’s hosting environment.

Through the Continuous Service Migration Program, customers will be guided through several phases to complete their migration. New customers will receive an initial site assessment, where a migration strategy is recommended based on business and technical requirements. Based on that assessment, if customers choose to formalize the relationship, Loudcloud works with the customer and their previous provider to develop a fully functioning site.

The program is being launched on the heels of Loudcloud’s alliance with Qwest Communications International Inc.in which Loudcloud’s managed service solutions were exchanged with Qwest’s data center and network services. As part of this alliance, most customers in the Continuous Service Migration Program will be housed in Qwest CyberCenters. Loudcloud’s partnership with Qwest assures customers that their operations equipment will be maintained in a secure facility with reliable bandwidth and networking services.

P>According to Jim Dimitriou, senior vice president of Client Services at Loudcloud, the current economic climate has made it easy for service providers to become distracted from focusing on the quality of their operations.

“This program fills a need that is in high demand right now,” says Rick Weston, senior vice president of business development at Qwest. He believes the firm’s alliance with Loudcloud will help boost its strategy to provide higher valued services in the Web hosting space beyond the very standard collocation services.

Loudcloud has performed nearly 100 deployments and site migrations over the past 18 months in order to build a solid base of experience. The firm has also defined a 187-step methodology for site deployment and migration to ensure transitions proceed smoothly.
