ManagedOps, a provider of managed operations application outsourcing services for mid-size customers, has acquired the customer contracts of Vobix Corp., a Louisville, KY-based subsidiary of Fairfax, Va.-based ManTech International Corp. . The agreement calls for migrating Vobix customers to the managed operations platform by mid- May. The terms of the transaction were not released.
The ManagedOps acquisition of Vobix’s customer contracts follows ManTech’s decision to focus on its core business supporting federal government customers, especially within the Department of Defense and the intelligence community. Vobix evaluated a number of application outsourcers and reseller partners within the Microsoft Great Plains channel before assigning its customers to Bedford, N.H.-based ManagedOps.
Vobix Vice Chairman of the board and ManTech Corporate Vice President Peter LaMontagne said, “Assigning our customers to ManagedOps was the right approach to ensure that our customers and partners continue to enjoy the high standard of support they received with Vobix.”
ManagedOps services include secure application delivery, network operations and data center management, single-point-of-resolution support, and, through its global network of solutions integrator partners, local implementation and business consulting. Founded in 1987, the company has strategic partnerships with Microsoft Great Plains and Siebel Systems, and is one of the first three U.S.-based companies to be named a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Hosting and Application Services.
ManTech delivers a broad array of information technology and technical services solutions to U.S. federal government customers, focusing primarily on critical national defense programs for the intelligence community and Department of Defense.
