A 12-year-old supplier of washroom chemicals to the commercial laundry industry will have its new financial accounting system delivered as a service over the Internet.

Cincinnati-based Washing Systems Inc. (WSI) recently chose ManagedOps and its Managed Operations outsourcing service. ManagedOps will deliver Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics online from its Bedford, N.H. data center.

According to Michael Higgins, a financial analyst at Washing Systems, outsourcing is the most cost-efficient way for his company to deploy the Dynamics software. “We do not have dedicated information technology (IT) staff, so many of us share IT responsibilities. If we implemented the software in-house, we would need to hire additional staff,” Higgins said. “And that cost is not feasible.”

Outsourcing the software to ManagedOps allows Washing Systems to put customers first. “We are able to create Web-accessible reports that give our sales team up-to-date information on customer orders,” Higgins explained. “This is just one way we are better able to meet our customer’s needs.”

The Managed Operations service includes secure, reliable, around-the-clock systems engineering, network management, and help-desk support. ManagedOps delivers the applications over a network for a cost-efficient and predictable monthly fee.

Washing Systems will use several Dynamics modules, including: System Manager, Report Writer, e.Order, General Ledger, Payables Management, Receivables Management, Purchase Order Processing, Sales Order Processing, Inventory, and FRx Advanced.

Headquartered in Cincinnati, Washing Systems Inc. (WSI) supplies washroom chemicals to the commercial laundry industry and provides products and services to the continental U.S., plus Hawaii and Canada. Incorporated in 1989, WSI has grown into one of the largest chemical suppliers to the commercial laundry industry.

ManagedOps.com Inc. is a provider of Managed Operations services that make it easy and cost-effective for mid-size companies to use and benefit from their essential business applications. The services include: secure and reliable application delivery; comprehensive network operations and data center management; single-point-of-resolution support; and, through its global network of solutions integrator partners, local implementation and business consulting.

Founded in 1987, the company has strategic partnerships with Microsoft Great Plains, Siebel Systems and other technology leaders, and is one of the first three U.S.-based companies to be named a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Hosting and Application Services.
