Microsoft Corp. introduced today an
Internet Service Provider support program for those ISPs that have licensed
Internet Explorer for distribution to their customers.
In conjunction with the launch of an online support Web site, Microsoft
released a cross-platform version of the Internet Explorer Administration
Kit, an ISP deployment guide, and instructional video training.
The Internet Explorer Administration Kit version 4.01 provides the tools
for ISPs to tailor the Web browser to their customers. The kit allows ISPs
to add their brand names to the toolbar as well as preconfigure the
software for better customer connections.
The ISP deployment guide provides technical expertise on customer
interaction and distribution options of IE, and the instructional video is
a two-hour teaching tool.
Microsoft reports it now has over 3,600 ISPs throughout the U.S. licensing
the IE Web browser.
All tools are available now for download from
the Microsoft Web site.
