Customers will be able to integrate business processes and applications using the combined power of BizTalk Server 2000 and Viacore’s electronic process integration services.
Microsoft Corp. has chosen Irvine, California-based Viacore, a process service provider (PSP) for the computer and electronic components industries, as a premier PSP for integration solutions based on RosettaNet, cXML, xCBL, EDI, and BizTalk Framework standards that are implemented on BizTalk Server 2000.
This alliance is expected to bring to market an integration solution that is low cost, standards-based, and versatile, enabling supply chain process integration for both Viacore and Microsoft clients.
According to representatives for Microsoft, the software giant selected Viacore as a premier PSP because of Viacore’s proven electronic process integration services. Viacore’s electronic process operations network will enable BizTalk Server 2000 users to share process information with a community of business-to-business trading partners more efficiently and rapidly than through a point-to-point connection strategy.
Under the terms of the alliance, the two companies will jointly develop certification of the BizTalk Server 2000-based ProcessTone solutions for universal connectivity with Viacore clients.
Companies using BizTalk Server 2000 and Viacore’s ProcessTone services will be able to quickly connect and disconnect their back office supply chain processes with multiple marketplaces and trading environments in a secure manner. There will also be the option of dynamic sourcing, order management, product life-cycle management, and collaborative forecasting through Viacore’s standards-based process infrastructure.

Also, customers will see rapid improvements in the efficiency of their supply chain through true process integration with multiple trading partners.”
