NetLedger, provider of accounting solutions for small businesses, continued its partnership rampage when it teamed up last week with Internet mailing and shipping service provider Stamps.com to secure its role in the online postage and shipping services market.
“Our partnership with Stamps.com further links the essential elements involved in the operation of small businesses,” said Bill Mirbach, CEO. No additional software installation is necessary for NetLedger clients to access the postal service.
“Right now nobody else is shipping a product so we have no close competition in the small business marketplace,” Mirbach said. He described a small business as a company with under $1 million in annual revenue or one to 50 employees.
Mirbach told ASP News that there is a seamless link between NetLedger and the Stamps.com(STMP) client list, which is updated continuously. “The level of integration we offer is unique,” he said.
The companies are in a mutual revenue sharing partnership; Mirbach declined to disclose further financial details.
NetLedger is a pure, browser-only ASP requiring only Internet access to take advantage of its services.
The company currently has several thousand clients accessing its three accounting services–basic, personal and plus. Basic is offered free to users and includes the basic accounting-related tools needed to run a small business. Personal is the basic service plus a check register allowing users to print checks on location. Plus offers various additional features including offsite access for employees, online client payment and vendor access to purchase orders.
In the past month, NetLedger also announced partnerships with custom online financial services provider Onecore.com and payroll provider ADP.
