Ptech, a Quincy, Mass., provider of business analysis and integration software, has named Joseph Johnson, formerly
Breakaway Solutions’ COO, as vice president of professional services to manage the company’s consulting and training practices.
“We are extremely pleased to have Joseph Johnson on our team, with his depth of experience, working with large management consulting firms,” said George
Peterson, Ptech’s COO and CFO. “He is already making an incredible contribution in jump-starting efforts with current channel partners, bringing an
outstanding level of professionalism and command to the management team.”
Johnson has 15 years of experience in technology consulting. Previously, he held high level posts at Arthur D. Little and Cayenta. He was also COO and head of
human resources at Breakaway Solutions, a Boston Internet consulting firm that soared in its 1999 IPO but sunk with other firms in its sector two years later.
Johnson also worked at Cambridge Technology Partners, KPMG. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Holy Cross College and graduated as a Fulbright
Scholar from the Edinburgh Business School.
Ptech was founded in 1994 and is privately held. It was recently recognized by Deloitte and Touche as one of the fastest-growing technology firms in New England.
