Salesnet, a Boston-based provider of Web-native sales force automation (SFA) software, announced yesterday the availability of Salesnet’s Web Services API, its Web Services application programming interface (API).
Web services use a standards-based method to integrate Web-based applications. Built on the Microsoft .NET framework, Salesnet’s Web Services API is designed to enable integration between Salesnet’s application and other customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise applications. Salesnet says that customers will be able to leverage existing technology investments and supports the flow of customer and sales data across the enterprise.
“Our customers can take full advantage of a cost-effective, rapidly deployed alternative to traditional CRM suites by using our Web Services API approach,” said Richard Perkett, chief technology officer and co-founder of Salesnet. “By implementing a best-of-breed CRM strategy, customers can avoid deploying complex, enterprise-wide CRM applications with unnecessary functionality that result in low compliance rates. Salesnet customers can take advantage of existing technology investments while also using our application to help them improve their overall sales execution.”
Salesnet’s Web Services API is part of Salesnet Extended, which was announced in June (see Salesnet Extends App, Reaches for Enterprise. In addition to the Web services APIs, the new version features an offline component, field access, multiple screen layouts and enhanced process builder functions. Salesnet Extended is scheduled for release early the fourth quarter for a monthly fee of $99 per user.
