Helping to extend its business-to-extended enterprise (B2E) initiative for optimizing the use of Web-based portal technologies. PwC Consulting, and SAP Portals, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SAP AG , today announced a global alliance to deliver SAP Portal’s Enterprise Portal and Business Intelligence to its B2E clients.
Through the alliance, both firms are working together to target multinational clients that may implement PwC Consulting’s B2E solution using SAP Portals Enterprise Portal.
Customers will be able to use SAP Portal’s business solutions from as well as have access to a range of consulting and implementation services from PwC Consulting.
TransAlta Corp., Canada’s largest nonregulated electric generation and marketing company, is already tapping into the alliance.

“We are working closely with PwC Consulting and SAP Portals to deploy our enterprise portal solution to achieve measurable business results.”
PwC Consulting says the alliance will help foster training and extend the skill set of its consulting staff through joint sales and marketing activity between the two organizations, in the areas of enterprise portals and business intelligence.

PwC Consulting will showcase B2E, including SAP Portals solutions, at its solution demonstration centers in Australia, Canada, Denmark, the United Kingdom and the United States.
