Space4rent Sets Up Shop in LA

Space4rent, a provider of managed IT services under the netsourcing model, Wednesday (Jan 3) announced the launch of operations at a new datacenter facility in Los Angeles, Calif.

The new facility expands Space4rent’s scope, enabling the company to offer a wide range of infrastructure, dedicated hosting and netsourcing services throughout the Southern California region.

“The Los Angeles datacenter represents an important step in establishing and building a national presence for Space4rent in the IT infrastructure management services marketplace,” said Bob Goetz, president and CEO of Space4rent. “This new site will accelerate the company’s planned expansion of its business operations throughout the West.”

Within the 35,000-square-foot facility, Space4rent will deliver a complete e-business infrastructure solution that provides Internet-centric businesses rapid access to advanced network, facility and technical resources. Space4rent services enable customers to focus on core competencies –such as bringing new products and services to market — rather than manage co-location and infrastructure operations.

Space4rent delivers a full range of hardware, software, security and backup options, all without significant upfront costs. The monthly fee-based utility model that Space4rent employs appeals to companies that cannot justify the cost of buying hardware or building a qualified IT organization to maintain Internet-related systems. The suite of netsourcing solutions includes infrastructure design and implementation, system upgrades, data backup, multi-layer security services and 24/7 on-site service and support.

The launch of Space4rent’s services in Los Angeles is the result of the company’s previously announced agreement with Colo.com, an infrastructure facility company based in San Francisco. Space4rent plans to offer netsourcing services at select Colo.com carrier-neutral co-location facilities throughout the United States.
