TeleComputing Named to Top Ten U.S. ASP List

TeleComputing ASA, a worldwide ASP and ASP-enabler, has announced that Gartner/Dataquest named the company as one of the ten Top U.S. ASP Vendors for the Year 2000 in its “ASPs 1Q 2001 Update Focus Report.”

The ASP vendor ranking is based on responses to an ASP vendor survey conducted between December and February, and public information. Based on ASP revenues for the past calendar year, the report examines ASP companies in North America. The report contains analysis of the current and forecasted ASP market size, market conditions, along with a listing and description of each of the top ten vendors in the industry.

“The Gartner report recognizes our growing presence in North America, particularly as an ASP-enabler for network service providers,” said Jason Donahue, president and chief executive officer of TeleComputing. “Our ASP private label solutions allow telcos to rapidly roll out hosted application services, while at the same time allowing ASPs to focus on the application development and integration components which are consistent with their core competencies. Ultimately, this yields the best possible solution for the end user of hosted application services.”

TeleComputing, founded in Norway in 1997 with U.S. headquarters in Sterling, Va., is the largest ASP in Europe and the third largest in revenues worldwide.
