Valtech Teams with IBM

Valtech, an IT consulting group specialized in collaborative project delivery announced today a relationship with IBM to support the rapid deployment of IBM WebSphere’s e-infrastructure.

The announcement comes after Giga Information Group reports that over the past year, WebSphere’s market share has nearly doubled. Similarly, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter’s Annual CIO Outlook cites IBM WebSphere, with over 35,000 customers, as the most widely used Internet infrastructure software among its 150 respondents, 47% of which say they use WebSphere in their companies.

Says Thomas Inman, director of Worldwide Sales for WebSphere, IBM, the firm is pleased to work with business partners like Valtech to enable companies to deploy WebSphere e-infrastructure software: “With this relationship, Valtech will provide implementation assistance and customer education to transfer the skills required for ongoing project management to all levels of the team, from developer to senior executive,” he explains.

Both companies have worked together since 2000, co-marketing advanced technology and training solutions to customers in several industries, including financial services, telecommunications and consumer goods.

According to Martin Santora, CEO of Valtech North America, the firm’s portfolio of certified WebSphere consultants offers IBM customers application server expertise backed with years of practical experience, so can aid IBM’s delivery of WebSphere implementations by equipping customers with the skills and knowledge needed to achieve self-sufficiency: “Valtech is extremely excited to work with IBM in delivering WebSphere to the market,” he says.

Formed in 1993 and Headquartered in Paris, France, Valtech has offices in Denver, Houston and New York, as well as offices throughout Europe and Asia. Among its international customers are Enron, JP Morgan, Charles Schwab, Southwest Airlines, and Adecco.
