Application infrastruture software provider Abridean today announced that USA.net, a Colorado Springs, Colo.-based messaging service provider will use AbrideanProvisor to provision and manage its Microsoft Exchange 2000 offering.

The AbrideanProvisor platform is designed to help service providers automate and simplify the provisioning and management of hosted enterprise applications.

Halifax, Nova Scotia-based Abridean also announced the availability of its Messaging Portfolio, which is designed to provision messaging solutions. This portfolio will allow service providers and large enterprises to provide users with value-added services such as wireless access and instant messaging.

“We conducted thorough research and evaluated many provisioning and management solutions before choosing AbrideanProvisor for USA.net hosted Microsoft Exchange 2000,” said Tom Guthrie, chief technology office of USA.net, in a statement released today by Abridean.

USA.net reports it will use AbrideanProvisor’s XML-based architecture and Provision Anything Framework to enhance its hosted Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server. Microsoft recently named AbrideanProvisor a finalist for its Best Use of XML award. The ASP Industry Consortium (ASPIC) has also named Abridean a 2001 ASPire Award finalist in the Delivery and Enablement category.

Both USA.net and Abridean are included in the ASPnews list of Global 200 companies.
