Cyveillance, a privately-held Arlington, Va.-based company that provides Internet intelligence, and digital trust services firm VeriSign, Inc. have formed a new partnership where four Cyveillance brand management solutions will be integrated into VeriSign’s new suite of digital brand management services.

The solutions, available through VeriSign’s worldwide sales force and the VeriSign digital brand partnership program, are designed to monitor, protect and build online brand equity.

The Cyveillance solutions are currently in use with 18 of the Fortune 50 organizations and the VeriSign partnership will extend this reach into Global 2000 firms. The services are of particular appeal to enterprises that understand the rapidly-growing importance of traditional brand management in the online world.

Solutions include digital asset protection, which protects against loss of revenue by identifying piracy and other unauthorized use and distribution of digital assets; unauthorized distribution of physical product, which protects against revenue loss and corresponding brand dilution by identifying unauthorized online product distribution, to include counterfeit goods and unauthorized partners; brand protection, which identifies sites that are infringing on a client’s brand by using that brand online for their own commercial purposes; and name change, which guards against the loss of valuable brand equity when rolling out a new brand or re-launching an existing one by identifying occurrences of the old brand online.
