Vocus Expands International Presence

Vocus, Inc., a provider of Web-based software for public relations automation (PRA), is opening additional offices in France and Hong Kong. The two new offices expand the company’s ability to sell and deliver enterprise-class software to the worldwide marketplace.

The Lanham, Md.-based company launched French, Spanish, and English International versions of its software in March of 2000 and opened offices in Europe and Asia to help corporations manage and automate strategic corporate communications initiatives.

Vocus provides organizations with a software solution to manage a unified and consistent communications process, increase positive exposure with the press and the public, and analyze and measure the effectiveness of corporate communications campaigns.

“In less than one year the Vocus solution has been adopted in Europe by over 170 large and mid-sized organizations including Microsoft, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Procter & Gamble, BP and Amazon.com. We are opening these offices in response to the strong demand in Asia and Europe for Web-based public relations automation software,” Rick Rudman, president and CEO of Vocus.
