PacketVideo Corp. is demonstrating its ability to deliver live,
streaming video and multimedia to palm-size and handheld PCs at Red Herring
NDA 99.

The company demonstrated delivery of both live and prerecorded video over
today’s second-generation wireless networks. Rather than waiting for the
arrival of third-generation networks three to five years from now,
PacketVideo’s software encoders, decoders, and network management software
may accelerate the development of brand new markets for wireless multimedia
to carry movie clips, news and sports highlights and other multimedia content
to mobile users.

“I believe PacketVideo is positioned to be one of the top young companies to
watch coming out of this conference,” said PacketVideo CEO James Carol.

“We
have a unique and compelling technology in a potentially huge market that is
really beginning to take off. We intend to announce over the next several
weeks some truly compelling partnerships, and that combination is driving a
lot of enthusiasm at this conference.”
