Viewsonic’s Tablet Dual-Boots Android, Windows

Apple’s iPad may be driving most of the sales and interest in tablet computers but it’s about to get a lot of competition.

Later this year HP plans to bring out a tablet computer based on Windows 7 that’s designed for enterprise users; while a consumer version due out early next year will be powered by the Palm webOS.

Meanwhile, Cisco has already announced the Cius, another enterprise-oriented tablet due out early next year and Dell just started shipping its Streak tablet.

As EnterpriseMobileToday reports, a few other big name players, Samsung and ViewSonic, are also hopping on board the tablet bandwagon.

s upcoming Galaxy Tab.


The 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab is slated to be officially introduced Sept. 2 and will be carried on Verizon’s network, according to reports today at the tech blog BoyGeniusReport.
