Compaq Computer Corp. Thursday began
offering its Compaq Intranet Services specifically for users of Microsoft’s Site Server 3.0.
Designed to increase business productivity, Compaq Intranet Services is a
comprehensive suite designed to meet all a business’ intranet needs.
Features include intranet assessment, planning, implementation and
infrastrucutre design.
Those who use Microsoft’s Site Server 3.0 will have Compaq’s intranet
services available in a Windows NT environment. They are designed to
“reduce overall implementation risks, minimize ‘false starts’ and costly
mistakes, shorten overall time to results, and maximize return on
investment,” the company said.
“Compaq Services is in a unique position to assist our customers with their
enterprise intranet
computing needs,” said Janet Rolfe-Smith, Compaq Services’ Internet business development manager.
“Our customers now have an easier way to implement their Site Server 3.0
solutions using Compaq’s knowledge of the intranet and base of Windows NT-trained experts.”
