E-commerce portal specialist Epicentric
Inc.
Friday teamed with intranet application provider Open Text Corp.

Through this deal, clients will have access to Open Text’s Livelink suite through Epicentric’s portal network.

This new feature, the Epicentric Portal Server, enables any end user to
create and publish a portal directly from a Web browser. Users may quickly
tap into business services such as virtual team collaboration and enterprise
group scheduling.

Andrew Pery, vice president of global marketing at Open Text, said the
portal offers customers a single point of access to Web services, legacy
systems and collaborative commerce capabilities, among other things.

Servicing more than 3,500 corporations in 31 countries, Open Text prides
itself on creating one of the first search index solutions for the Internet.
Epicentric said its strength in portal infrastructure is rapid time to
deployment for its clients.
