A well-designed intranet will help improve decision-making processes across enterprises, said Larry Ford, president and CEO of Information Advantage, Inc., this week at the BancAmerica Robertson Stephens Technology Conference.

Ford stated that the company’s own online analytical processing (OLAP)
solutions are designed to help increase the value of the data warehousing and data mart industry. According to Ford, “the market is telling us that ultra-thin client, server-centric OLAP is the best strategic choice for intranet and extranet deployment.”

“Information Advantage believes that all organizations can benefit from
well-designed data warehouse and data mart applications, especially when linked with proven scalable OLAP technology and intranets that allow affordable deployment to everyone involved in decision-making activities.”

The company’s leading OLAP product line, DecisionSuite, is an
intranet-based collaborative workgroup solution offering decision-making
and analysis tools that can be tailored to various groups within an
organization.

In addition, Information Advantage’s WebOLAP enables users to conduct OLAP
analyses over the Web.

The company recently completed its initial public offering (Nasdaq: IACO),
making available 3.3 million shares of its common stock in December 1997 at
a price of $6 per share.
