The government moved will beef up its intranet content provisions as a
result of a partnership between IntraNet Solutions Inc. and content
integrator Synetics.

Under the agreement, Synetics will integrate and market IntraNet Solutions’
business Web content management products, including the flagship
Xpedio*$153; system, for the government sector in the United States.

In turn, Synetics expects to further gain curry favor among federal
organizations by marketing IntraNet Solutions’ proven Web content management
solutions for intranets and extranets.

Synetics recently finished working with IntraNet Solutions to implement the
Xpedio Content Management system at a large government institution, managing
and publishing content to its corporate intranet site, host to more than
3,000 employees. Xpedio enables customers to quickly turn out business Web
sites and automates the process of maintaining information on these sites.

Business content from sources including desktop applications, business
applications and templates is managed and published in Web-based formats
such as HTML, XML, PDF and WML.

“Many agencies are searching for ways to contribute, manage, publish and
personalize content for their Web sites more efficiently,” said Mary
Balderson, director of Synetics’ Information Engineering Division. “We
believe IntraNet Solutions’ technology is well-suited to meet this need…”

Xpedio’s deployment runs between $40,000 to $180,000.
