InfoXpress.com Inc. signed a dozen
publishers in England, Belgium and Germany for its InfoTracker
Web-to-database technology services.
InfoTracker is a direct response mechanism (banners, hot buttons on banners,
etc.) that generates qualified sales leads by allowing site visitors to
request more information from, or otherwise interact with, Web advertisers.
Potential buyers can request additional product information, delivered back
to them via their choice of e-mail, voice, fax or snail mail, or be directed
to the advertiser’s own Web site. It generates tangible sales leads for
participating advertisers and online marketers because people who request
information have to register to get it.
European publishers who are now deploying InfoTracker include: PC Magazine UK
(Ziff-Davis UK); Electronics Weekly UK (Reed/Elsevier UK); What’s New in
Electronics Europe (Miller Freeman UK); Electronics Express Europe and
Industry Express Europe (European Business Press, Belgium); PC Professionell
(Ziff-Davis Germany); NT Magazine, LanLine, Systeme, Unix Open and Client
Server Computing (AWI Germany); and GroupWare Magazine (H&T Verlag Germany).
Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
By analyzing the quantity and nature of inquiries, advertisers can adjust
their online
product offerings to promote products or services with greater sales
potential and/or higher margins, InfoXpress.com said. The InfoTracker service
provides lead access in real-time or by automated e-mail delivery.
InfoTracker technology is also powering ‘The Electronics Express Product
Guide’, an online buyers guide from the publisher of Electronics Express
(European Business Press, Belgium). The site features product specifications
and list prices for thousands of electronics products, services and software.
