Online advertising network 24/7 Europe has signed an exclusive
contract with Belgacom Skynet’s Belcast to provide global
sales representation for Belgium’s largest portal.

Previously, advertising on Belcast was handled by two separate sales agencies
— both offering local sales representation only.

Under the year-long
agreement, 24/7 Europe will handle all advertising for the site, providing
online banners, sponsorships, e-commerce
and direct marketing solutions for all language versions (French, Dutch and
English).

Local representation will be provided by 24/7’s Brussels office.
Belcast claims to generate more than 12 million monthly impressions from over
60,000 unique users.

Launched by Belgium’s telecom Belgacom in October 1997,
Belcast offers a range of content and services including searches, news,
weather, finance, mail, events and shopping. Belcast is also the homepage for
several free Internet services powered by Belgacom Skynet.

24/7 Europe said it aims to develop a comprehensive Belgian portfolio
featuring a selection of themed content channels.
