Seattle-based Activate introduced yesterday, in conjuction with the midnight launch of Windows Media Player 7, two customized skins that incorporate customized icons.

As part of the Microsoft Media Skin Gallery, the new skins provide interactive enhancements to the standard Windows Media Player 7 and allow customers to personalize the branding and interface and extend user functionality.

According to Activate’s Senior VP of Marketing Stewart Chapin, Activate’s close relationship with Microsoft continues to provide the company the insight and resources that allows it to aggressively add value to Microsoft’s digital media technology.

“By teaming with Microsoft during the development of Windows Media Player 7, Activate was able to provide end-users with a player-interface that is easy-to-use, engaging, cutting-edge and customizable,” says Chapin.

Windows Media Player 7 is currently available for download from WindowsMedia.com. The two Activate-developed skins are available for download at http://WindowsMedia.com/mediaguide/gallery/skins.asp?page=1at.
