Activate Tuesday signed a formal
relationship agreement with Unit.Net, a European
streaming media company, to provide streaming media to a global audience.
The two companies will work together to provide streaming media services,
including network infrastructure and production facilities, to customers that
need to reach global marketplaces. This relationship will also provide a
dedicated global streaming network with the ability to reach markets in North
America, Europe and Asia.
On the domestic front, Activate announced an agreement with Fisher Radio
Seattle, a division of Fisher Broadcasting, Inc.,
to stream the audio signals of their three Seattle-based radio stations over
Activate will provide KPLZ (STAR 101.5 FM), KOMO (1000 AM) and KVI (570 AM)
with turnkey solutions that include signal acquisitions, encoding and
distribution to each station’s Web site.

streaming media player in the European marketplace,” said Jeff Schrock, chief executive officer
and co-founder of Activate.
