MP3.com Inc. has upgraded its retail
music software to enhance customized music and messaging content.
Retail User Interface 2.0 is a Web-enabled software that provides
businesses and value-added resellers (VARs) with increased store-grouping
ability, allowing users to “cluster” retail establishments for greater
control of music and messaging content.
The new version provides users with an enhanced ability to direct specific advertising and messaging to a single or defined group of stores. Additionally, enhancements have been made to improve remote diagnosis and repair.
“The release of this upgrade demonstrates an ongoing
commitment to leveraging our technology and software infrastructure to offer
retailers the most efficient, cost-effective and customizable retail music
and messaging tool available,” said Michael Robertson, chairman and chief
executive officer of MP3.com.”This
application allows our retail customers to move and manage large amounts of
data easily and efficiently.”
The software complements MP3.com’s recently launched Retail Music
Program, which is a subscription music service that allows retail outlets
and businesses to centrally manage and distribute in-store music, messaging
and
advertising while customizing playlists utilizing certain music from the
MP3.com music catalog from any Web-enabled device.
