Bellvue, Wash.-based AppWorx Corp., a provider of enterprise scheduling products, said Wednesday that its enterprise job scheduler now supports the Red Hat distribution of Linux.

“We recognize the fact that many organizations are considering migrating Linux into their development and production environments and will need a job scheduler that’s compatible with the major enterprise operating systems,” said Brian Miller, vice president of Product Development and Services at AppWorx. “AppWorx will continue to provide the Linux community with the tools needed to provide superior automated job scheduling for the entire IT environment.”

AppWorx said that in addition to Linux, it is already compatible with leading UNIX vendors, including Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard and IBM. It is also compatible with the Microsoft Windows NT/2000 platform.
