Ariba Thinks Global, Expands to European E-C Market

Expanding its presence in the European market, business-to-business
electronic commerce solutions provider Ariba Tuesday announced plans open regional hubs in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

Ariba’s already has some standing in the European e-commerce market through client agreements with Philips Electronics in the Netherlands and SAirGroup in Switzerland.


“With our existing European customer base and European team, we look
forward to continuing to build a successful, client-focused organization
that delivers business-to-business e-commerce solutions to our Global 2000
customers in Europe,” said Keith Krach, Ariba’s chief executive officer and president.

Ariba hopes to build on existing global client agreements.

“By building our foundations in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden,
Switzerland, and the UK, we have made already significant progress Europe,” Gibson said.

Ariba provides of intranet- and Internet-based business-to-business
e-commerce solutions for operating resources.
