Axia NetMedia Corp. has partnered with Cisco Systems to deliver advanced IP networking and application services.

The agreement covers product development strategy and sales and marketing to deliver advanced data and IP services to the corporate marketplace. Both companies aim to develop a new public network which will carry IP-based services and applications, including data, voice, video and media-rich applications.

“This memorandum of understanding is the first step in creating a multi-faceted alliance that will be a cornerstone for the future growth of Axia,” says Axia CEO Art Price. Price added that customers expect fully integrated solutions that move the technology into the background.

Axia works with networks to deliver user-controlled, media-rich applications for information exchange and learning.
