BeatWare recently released
Mail-It 2.0, a powerful e-mail application for the operating system BeOS.

BeOS is a small operating system, created by Be, Inc. as an alternative to Windows and Mac OS.
BeatWare’s update of its e-mail client is designed to offer enhancements including spell checking,
comprehensive filtering and viewing of HTML e-mail. The enhancements make Mail-It 2.0
comparable to advanced
e-mail clients on Windows and Macintosh platforms.

“With this upgrade, Mail-It enters the upper echelon of e-mail software,” said Karen Cassel, vice
president of sales and marketing at BeatWare. “Before Mail-It, BeOS users often left the BeOS to
manage their e-mail. Now, managing e-mail is one of the best reasons to boot the BeOS.”

New features include a preview panel for faster browsing of e-mail, message filtering, auto reply
and auto forwarding, multiple address books and full support of international character sets.

Mail-It 2.0 needs BeOS Release 4, costs $49.00, and can be purchased
from Be Depot.
