Bell Mobility, Scotiabank Roll Out Wireless Net Banking

Bell Mobility and
Scotiabank this week introduced wireless banking services on Net-enabled phones in Canada.

With the new service, Scotiabank customers will be able to check account
balances and transactions, pay bills, and transfer funds. Users can access brokerage information such as stock quotes,
alerts, trade confirmations, and personal portfolios.

The new service will be delivered via Mobile Browser — a Bell Mobility
service enabling users to log onto the Internet from their Digital PCS
phone.

Bell Mobility launched Mobile Browser in May 1999, making it the first PCS
company in North America to put an Internet browser into the PCS handset.
Users can access and view a number of Internet sites that have been
specially-adapted for small display screens.

Mobile Browser is currently available on a number of Bell Mobility
Internet-enabled Digital PCS phones, including the NeoPoint 1000, Samsung’s
SCH-3530, and Qualcomm’s QCP-2700F.
