All the Internet plays seem to be going to Europe and picking up the language, too. Beyond.com Thursday followed this trend with its launch of Symantec online stores for France, Germany and the United Kingdom.
The stores will offer transactions in local currencies, with interfaces available in French and in German. Beyond.com will also manage the Symantec (SYMC) stores.
The three sites are the first of 11 online stores which Beyond.com (BYND) will create and manage for Symantec. Additional stores for Asia-Pacific, Canadian (in French and English), Dutch, Italian, Pan-European, South African and Swedish customers are also in the works. Like the versions released today, each site will be regionalized for language, currency and content display.
Downloadable Symantec products are available on the site, which also offers phone and e-mail customer support and product updates. Symantec’s first online store was opened in July.
