BlueGill Opens in Europe for EBPP

Electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) leader
BlueGill Technologies has launched its European operations with the opening of its new London office.


BlueGill has not revealed its European strategy, but it appears that the
company will target specific countries for developing new sales
channels, while also launching some pan-European marketing programs.


The new European office will support BlueGill’s international partner
and reseller network, which includes relationships with IBM, EDS, Xerox and LaserCom.


“Fortune 1000 companies that conduct business worldwide see the benefits
of Internet billing, including enhanced customer relationships through
e-commerce, marketing and customer care,” said Hal Davis, CEO of BlueGill.


“With our strong partner and reseller relationships throughout Europe,
BlueGill is in an optimal position today to support the full-service
EBPP initiatives of multinational companies.”


“LaserCom is looking forward to growing the European market for Internet
billing with BlueGill,” said Georges Tsitos, CEO of LaserCom.


“We’re seeing increased demand in Europe for online billing applications,
especially for business-to-business, and BlueGill delivers the best solution
in that category.”

Ken McKay becomes
director of European Sales and Marketing, and will head up the new office.


BlueGill’s flagship product is called the i-Series which offers
industry-specific functions for billing management, business-to-business
bills, statements, payment linkage, administration, e-commerce, customer
service, marketing and data management.
