Boomerang
Software Inc. released WebShop Designer, software that provides
businesses with
the tools they need to create and manage a professional Web site, market
products and services, process on-site orders, and receive electronic
payments.
Boomerang CEO Richard Bezjian said WebShop Designer includes everything
required to set up and manage a state-of-the-art Web site, conduct online
marketing, process orders and maintain a customer database. The product
incorporates the technology of the new release 5 of Internet Design Shop GOLD,
Boomerang’s software for creating and managing Web sites and producing a wide
range of customized collateral materials.
The app includes a site manager component that allows users to build, manage
and update Web sites and a frame manager that allows the average user to
easily create, size, place, edit and manage frames on their pages graphically
in a WYSIWYG interface, with no need for programming. Multimedia capabilities
add interactivity and multimedia elements such as rich media, JAVA, WAVE, AVI
and MIDI. Ancillary programs include
Business Graphics, PhotoEditor and multimedia clips manager with more
than 45,000 clips.
Support is offered for ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) and SQL drivers that
enable the development and maintenance of standard databases on the back end
of a Web site.
Customers can browse products and services and place orders in a shopping
cart. Order charges are automatically calculated and transactions by credit
card or check are
immediately processed on a secure server, with funds deposited directly into
the user’s bank account. The product is priced at $189 retail. To compliment
WebShop Designer, Boomerang also offers basic and professional Web site
hosting services for a monthly fee starting at $9.95.
