Clear Sailing for Uniglobe Travel Online

Uniglobe Travel Online is reporting strong
growth during the second quarter of 1998.

“We are pleased with the advances we are making,” said Martin H. Charlwood,
president and COO of the Vancouver-based company.

“Our sales for the second quarter of 1998 have increased by 150 percent
compared with the first quarter of 1998 and by nearly 500 percent compared
with the second quarter of 1997. And we anticipate this current growth
pattern to continue.”

UTO recorded product sales of C$1,020,000 for the quarter ended June 30,
1998, compared with C$409,000 for the prior quarter ended March 31, 1998,
and with C$173,000 for the comparable second quarter of 1997.

Charlwood noted that “The Voyages cruise section on our Web site makes us a leading seller and
authority for cruise products on the Internet and is drawing more shoppers
to our site.”

“As well, the company’s role in providing specialized cruise product to
UNIGLOBE Travel franchised agencies and to UNIGLOBE CruiseShipCenter
outlets in the U.S. is growing as these travel agents book and purchase
cruise product through UTO’s centralized cruise center,” Charlwood said.

UTO provides travel products and services to business and leisure travelers
as well as operates a travel fulfillment center for various online companies.
