With the busiest shopping season fast approaching, retailers and e-tailers are scrambling to fill their need for hourly workers. The low unemployment rate has created a tight labor market and the battle for dedicated employees this holiday season is on!
One Beaverton, Oregon-based company has just launched the online version of its recruiting system designed specifically for the hourly market. It will not just be offering a solution to both jobseekers and employers, but will be a portal that will target an audience that is estimated to be 82% of the U.S. workforce: 110 million people strong.
According to Sharon Ward, director of enterprise business applications at Framingham, Massachusetts-based Hurwitz Group, it is the combination of Decision Point Systems’ Kiosk style application centers and its recent online version that will allow it a broad access into the hourly market.
Decision Point Systems, has already been servicing companies such as Toys R Us, Blockbuster Video and Target for over a year via on-site kiosks. Plus, its kiosk style application centers exist in over 154 malls throughout the U.S.
Decision Point Systems’ recruiting solution not only screens applicants but compiles an assessment profile, tax-credit screen and background check, packaging and delivering this information to the hiring manager in less than 10 minutes after the application is completed.
Seattle.internet.com caught up with Decision Point Systems’ President Bob Gregg last week at the e-Recruiting show in New York. Gregg was in New York not only to announce the launch of the online version of his company’s recruiting system, but also to announce the company’s new name: Unicru.
According to Gregg, Decision Point Systems has just unveiled a new look and feel for the company that includes the new name. “The name combines unified and recruiting. Our system is really about the unification of all the means of recruiting a candidate in one place,” says Gregg.
